The Bureau of Agricultural Research (BAR) is one with President and DA Secretary Ferdinand “Bongbong” Romualdez Marcos Jr. in his goal to boost the competitiveness of the sector toward a food-secure Philippines.

As the mandated national research for development (R4D) arm of the department, the DA-BAR will continue to firm up its reform strategies toward ensuring that R4D-generated technologies will be upscaled toward attaining food availability and accessibility and increasing income of our farmers and fisherfolk.

As we continue to elevate and optimize the utilization and access to R4D outputs and outcomes, the DA-BAR is ready to offer and deliver its services to its partner implementing agencies. It will continue to develop innovative R4D approaches and programs as we work together in rebuilding the country’s economy and the lives of all our fellow Filipinos.
