#2ndYIAS || 1 Day to Go!
This year, the Department of Agriculture (DA), through the Office of the Undersecretary for Special Concerns (OUSC) under the leadership of Undersecretary Waldo R. Carpio, will conduct the 2nd Youth in Agriculture Summit (YIAS) with the theme: โSpark, Encourage, Engage the Youth to Develop (SEED) New Leaders for Agricultureโ on April 21-22, 2022 at the National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) Salvador H. Escudero III Convention Hall. It will be simultaneously livestreamed in the Official Facebook Page of DA from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
The two-day summit will feature a number of experts to share their experience and expertise in modernizing and innovating their farms. They will also provide necessary skills and knowledge to help future agri-fishery leaders to be successful in their endeavors.
The OUSC has been at the forefront in its efforts to SEED New Leaders in agriculture.
The DA, under the leadership of Secretary William D. Dar, has been consistently providing programs designed specifically for the Filipino youth to engage them in various agri-fishery activities.
